Società Cooperativa Sociale Zaffiria

Zaffiria works in the field of Media Education since 1998 and manages the national Centre Alberto Manzi (Italian pedagogist known above all for his literacy programmes in RAI tv). Zaffiria organizes training for teachers and workshops in school and extra school, with projects like “Extramedia”, for which it won the Evens Prize for Media Education 2013 as best European Project, awarded by the Evens Foundation in Paris.

COSPE – Cooperazione per lo Sviluppo dei Paesi Emergenti ONLUS

COSPE was founded in 1983 as a private, secular and non-profit organisation.
It operates in 25 countries worldwide with approximately 70 projects alongside thousands of women and men for a change that will ensure the equitable and sustainable development, respect for human rights, peace and justice among peoples. COSPE works to build a world where diversity is considered a value, a world of many voices, where the meeting would enrich and where social justice first steps through the access of all to equal rights and opportunities.

VsI Edukaciniai Projektai

VsI Edukaciniai Projektai was established in 2010 for the purpose to promote, develop and implement principles of life-long study program, non-formal education, in range of social and professional skills improvement; to create programs of non-formal education for professionals working in the range of social integration and socialization; organize training, prepare and implement national and EU projects in range of social welfare rising and to participate actively in the creating process of civil society based on knowledge.

CIAC – Centro de Investigaçāo em Artes e Comunicação

CIAC emerged in 2008 as a result from the merge of the Center for Research in Communication Sciences and Arts (University of Algarve) and the Research Centre for Theatre and Film (School of Theatre and Film, IPL). CIAC has developed innovative research in the fields of artistic studies and cultural studies, communication and, more recently, literary studies, connecting the creation of platforms and the forms of communication of scientific knowledge in the designated areas. Since its foundation, it has promoted and actively participated in the artistic and cultural activities of Algarve through specific protocols of collaboration with Municipalities, Cultural Associations and with the Algarve Regional Direction of Culture.

JFF – Institute for Media Education

Since 1949 the JFF has been investigating how younger generations deal with media through research and practical experience.
The media usage of adolescents and promoting media competence has been the starting point for JFF activities in the fields of research and pedagogical work for more than 60 years. Combining empirical research and educational practice is characteristic of the work of JFF. Research results form the basis of educational schemes for educational, developmental, and cultural work with children and adolescents. These research activities are reciprocally supplemented by educational practice.

Fundacja Nowoczesna Polska

In the times of digital media, freedom of speech and freedom of communication need special support and protection. Fundacja Nowoczesna Polska believes that only free culture is worth the effort. Users’ rights are the foundation of democracy and the public domain should be a rule to which information monopolies are an exception. Freedom of communication is only possible when citizens use free tools to control the flow of information, have media and information competences and have access to free knowledge. Fundacja Nowoczesna Polska builds open educational resources, develops free digitalization technologies and effectively influences public policies in the field of exclusive rights.

Savoir Devenir

Savoir Devenir is a non-profit organization established in 2016 in Paris and aimed at all publics – citizens, educators, institutional and industrial actors – in a citizen and participatory approach to “re-enchant Internet”.
Savoir Devenir is intended to give citizens the power over their media and digital life through actions in favour of media and information literacy, digital literacy, internet governance.
